PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform video recording of a spare program by performing a recording reservation of the spare program to be broadcasted as an alternate when a predetermined broadcast program is canceled.

SOLUTION: This portable terminal 100 is provided with a reservation processing part 204 for receiving and storing a video recording reservation obtained by designating a time zone and a channel of the spare program to be broadcasted in place of the predetermined broadcast program, an EPG (electronic program guide) acquiring part 201 for acquiring an EPG, an EPG monitoring part 202 for monitoring whether an alternate program is changed so as to be broadcasted in the acquired EPG, and a video recording control part 205 for instructing a video recorder to perform video recording according to the video recording reservation when the spare program is broadcasted.
