PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a series of techniques for easily screening a compound capable of specifically binding to a sigma 1 receptor.

SOLUTION: The fused protein has a protein having a molecular chaperon activity or its subunit connected to the N-terminal or the C-terminal of a sigma 1 receptor and having a ligand binding activity. Examples of the protein having molecular chaperone activity are chaperonin and PPIase. Also provided are a method for screening a compound specifically binding to a sigma 1 receptor by using the fused protein, and a screening composition for the screening method.
