PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle transporter in which a cargo box is fixed to a body side of the vehicle transporter, guide plates are connected to the rear side of the cargo box in such a way that they can be inclined in a stable manner, and its connecting mechanism is constructed so as not to become a hindrance at the time of loading or unloading operation. SOLUTION: The vehicle transporter 1 is provided with one stage of a cargo box 4 and guide plates 5. The guide plates 5 are turned between the raised position where they raise up in respect to the cargo box 4 and the inclined position where their extremity ends are contacted with the road. The cargo box 4 is fixed to the main body side of the transporter, a connecting mechanism 6 is arranged between the cargo box 4 and each of the guide plates 5. The connecting mechanism 6 has a first link 6a and a second link 6b. When the guide plates 5 are set at the raised positions, the first link 6a becomes substantially in parallel with the cargo box 4, the first lock 6a is locked by a lock mechanism 6c in such a way that it can be released in respect to the cargo box 4, an angle between the first link 6a and the second link 6b becomes an acute angle when the guide plates 5 are in the raised positions and becomes an obtuse angle when the guide plates 5 are in the inclined positions.
