<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for flexibly adapting ring networks to an increase in number of accommodated rings and a request for higher-speed switching processing. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention is to provide a data transfer device. The data transfer device includes (n) (n: an integer of≥2) transfer resources functioning as nodes of the ring networks, a connection line connecting (m) (m: an integer of≥2) ring networkss and (n) transfer resources, and a control unit controlling the (n) transfer resources. The connection line is configured to change connections between at least part of the (m) ring networkss and at least part of the (n) transfer resources.
