PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the bias of at least one of series-connected FETs constituting an amplifier and to stabilize the gain of the amplifier. SOLUTION: An amplifying apparatus includes the amplifier having a structure wherein a load resistance and first and second FETs are connected in series, a first bias circuit supplying a first bias current to the first FET, and a second bias circuit supplying a second bias current to the second FET. The second bias circuit has a comparator supplying a control signal to the gate of the second FET so that a bias voltage at a connection node between the first and second FETs is equalized to the output voltage of the first bias circuit.
