PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication device that always secure a stable reception state by reducing effects of multipath fading even if the number of receiving antennas is small, and a radio receiving method. SOLUTION: The radio communication device has a plurality of antennas 11-1 to 11-M and performs the diversity combining of received signals of the antennas 11-1 to 11-M. The device includes a first combining part (23, 24) which combines the received power of the antennas 11-1 to 11-M with one another according to first algorithm, a second combining part (21-1 to 21-M, 22, and 23) which combines the received power of the antennas 11-1 to 11-M with one another according to second algorithm different from the first algorithm, a determination part 15 for determining the presence or the absence of a delay wave from the received signals, and a control part 16 which selects one of the first combining part (23, 24) and the second combining part (21-1 to 21-M, 22, and 23) according to the determination result by the determination part 15 and controls so as to combine the received power of the antennas 11-1 to 11-M with one another.
