PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decoding apparatus capable of decoding a plurality of LDPC (Low Density Parity Check) codes different in structure and capable of reducing also a circuit scale. SOLUTION: A receiving value buffer 500 stores data D500 received through a communication path only by data of one code and transfers the received data to a receiving value storage memory 501. Where, the rearrangement of columns of an inspection matrix corresponds to the rearrangement of a code system. Thereby, the following rearrangement processing is executed in the receiving value buffer 500 based on the control of a control part 506. Namely, the inspection matrix expressing the data D500 is expressed as an aggregate of 6×6 constitutional matrixes. Therefore, by using a 6×6 constitutional matrix as a rearrangement unit, rearrangement processing for rearranging the 6×6 constitutional matrix to an aggregate matrix of 3×3 constitutional matrixes based on a prescribed rule is executed.
