A damping controller of a diesel engine vehicle for damping vehicle body vibration by controlling a driving output of a diesel vehicle includes a compensation component calculating part for calculating a compensation component for compensating wheel torque for suppressing vehicle body vibration amplitude and a control gain determination part for determining a control gain of the compensation component. The control gain determination part reduces the control gain when a value of the compensation component at a time point where the value of the compensation component reverses in positive and negative exceeds a limitation range of a fuel injection amount variation determined based on an operating condition of an engine before the time point, and increases the control gain when the value of the compensation component does not exceed the limitation range of the fuel injection amount variation. Thus, when the fuel injection amount variation is to be limited, a waveform of the compensation component by the damping control can be maintained, as well as effects of the damping control get as large as possible. |
