<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of effectively utilizing the light of a back light. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device 1 comprises; an incident side glass substrate 23 which has been subjected to patterning in such a manner that a light transmission part 39a and a reflection part 39b are constituted in each of a plurality of sub-pixels 48; a light source 7; a light guide plate 9 which is disposed to face the back of the incident side glass substrate 23, and guides the light of the light source 7; a prism sheet 13 which is arranged between the incident side glass substrate 23 and the light guide plate 9, and in which a plurality of triangular prisms 13a projecting to the light guide plate 9 side and each having a slope which intersects diagonally with respect to the prescribed direction are arrayed in the prescribed direction, and transmits the light guided by the light guide plate 9 to the incident side glass substrate 23 side; and first lenses 29 and second lenses 25 arrayed between the incident side glass substrate 23 and the prism sheet 13 and functions as a condenser lens which condenses the light transmitted through the prism sheet 13 to light transmission parts 39a of the plurality of sub-pixels 48. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
