PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method by which a tea beverage containing non-polymer catechins at a high concentration and having proper flavor is produced more efficiently. SOLUTION: The method for producing the tea beverage includes charging at least one kind of tea selected from among non-fermented tea, semi-fermented tea, and fermented tea into a column type extractor, extracting the tea with water at -5 to 15°C and preparing an extract solution A (a first step); then increasing the temperature of the extraction residue in the first step to 50-100°C for 1-10 min (a second step); subsequently feeding hot water at 50-100°C to the heated extraction residue and discharging an extract solution B by a one-pass method (a third step); and mixing the extract solution A with the extract solution B and carrying out a sterilizing treatment (a fourth step).
