<p>The method involves arranging satellites (1-4) in orbits (A-F) around the earth. A satellite pair having two satellites (1, 4) in the orbit (A) is selected. The satellites (1, 4) are provided at a distance from each other at an angle of 180 degrees in the orbit. The satellite pair is utilized for a search sequence. Another satellite pair at an orbit (B) is provided adjacent to the former satellite pair. The former satellite pair has an angle difference with the latter satellite pair in a middle anomaly. An independent claim is also included for a satellite receiver for a satellite supported positioning system.</p> |
