摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet material stacking apparatus and a method of stacking sheet material, capable of aligning both end surfaces of a sheet material in a width direction stacked on a sheet material stacking base. SOLUTION: This sheet material stacking apparatus includes: the stacking base 102 on which a planographic printing plate 48 thrown into from a belt conveyer 42 is stacked; a first guide member 126A erected along a conveying direction a on the stacking base 102 and aligning one end surface of the planographic printing plate 48 in the width direction; a second guide member 126B arranged parallel to the first guide member 126A and relatively opposite thereto across the stacking base 102; a pusher 226 composing at least a part of the first guide member 126A and displaced between a reference position in which the distance to the second guide member 126B is equal to the width D of the planographic printing plate 48 and a separating position in which the distance to the second guide member 126B is larger than the width D of the planographic printing plate 48; and a drive means 136 displacing the pusher 226 and aligning both the end surfaces of the sheet material in the width direction.
