PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope which can prevent air bubbles from mixing into the internal side of the end section of a shell on which a thread is wound. SOLUTION: This endoscope keeps the tubular shell 62 fitted on a covering object area including a curved section 22. The thread 63 is wound and tightened on the outer periphery of the end section of the shell 62, and a slope in a taper is formed on the contact surface 77 of a step in which the end section of the shell 62 falls.
