PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an application transmitter, a content transmitter and a content receiver, wherein a content provider can keep track of use of contents and unauthorized use of contents can be prevented without imposing an increased burden of installing transmission equipment on the side of the content provider and without requiring confirmation of provider lists on the receiving side.

SOLUTION: An application distributor 1 transmits an application which utilizes contents to a content receiver 5 which receives contents from a content distributor 3 transmitting the contents and reproduces the contents after they are stored therein. The distributor 1 includes a download control information generating section, a storage control signature generating section and a transmitting section.
