PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wound covering material which is excellent in absorbency, water retentiveness, fitting feeling, biodegradability and biocompatibility. SOLUTION: A sheet containing a polyglutamic acid crosslinker is used as the wound covering material. The content of the polyglutamic acid is preferably 10% by mass or higher and 100% by mass or lower with respect to the sheet.
