PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush polisher for a generator exciting device capable of so polishing the contact surface of a brush that the contact surface of the brush can be fitted to the outer periphery of a slip ring. SOLUTION: This brush polisher for the generator exciting device polishes a columnar brush 2 used for the exciting device of a generator in such a shape that can be fitted to the outer peripheral surface of the slip ring 3 of the generator. The brush polisher comprises a holding part 9 for so holding the brush 2 that the axial direction of the brush 2 is perpendicular to the outer peripheral surface of the slip ring 3 and moving parts 20 installed in the holding part 9 and moving the holding part 9 on the outer peripheral surface of the slip ring 3 in the circumferential direction.
