SURFACE PROTECTING METHOD FOR EXISTING CONCRETE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concrete water repellent treatment technology capable of stably forming a water repellent layer having an adequate thickness on the surface of the concrete and covering with the water repellent coating film having the outermost surface excellent in the appearance by carrying out the control of coating amount to various concrete having a surface made porous. SOLUTION: The surface protecting method of existing concrete is carried out by adjusting the blending ratio of (alkyl alkoxy silane)/(polyorgano siloxane) corresponding to the degree of porosity of the surface layer part of the concrete to uniformly cover the concrete surface with the water repellent material component in the 200±50 g/m2coating amount and preparing an aqueous water repellent material with which the surface of the concrete is coated to have 1-30 mm thickness of a silane impregnated water repellent layer to apply the water repellent material on the surface of the concrete with the coating amount.
