PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a granular material storing bag preventing a handle from firmly depressing fingers when the handle is held around the fingers so as to carry the granular material storing bag with a granular material in it. SOLUTION: The granular material storing bag has a granular material storing section 21 in which a granular material K is sealed is formed by fusing the upper edges 1, lower edges 2, left edges 3, and right edges 4 of the front and back sheets 5 and 6 made of a plastic. In this bag 1, the upper edge 1 is formed such that a laminate band 7 in which thermoplastic materials 55 are bonded to both the surface and back of a reinforced plastic material in layers is sandwiched by the surface sheet 5 and the back sheet 6. The middle portion A of the laminate band 7 is interposed between the surface and back sheets 5 and 6 so that it is pulled as a handle. One face of the laminate band 7 is embossed.
