<p>A synthetic slip-retarding device is formed from a negative impression of the topography of the underneath surface of a bamboo leaf. The upper surfaces of the bamboo leaf is bonded to a support surface so that the underneath surface of the bamboo leaf is exposed. A release agent is applied to the exposed underneath surface of the bamboo leaf and a synthetic material is cast over the bamboo leaf. After the synthetic material hardens it is stripped away from the bamboo leaf whereby a surface of the synthetic material has formed a negative replica of the topography of the underneath surface of the bamboo leaf upon which it was cast.</p> |
