A mobile terminal and a method for processing data thereof are provided to designate a data level according to touch input, thereby processing specific operations with regard to data of the same level at once. A mobile terminal includes a wireless communication unit(110), a user input unit(130), a display unit(151), a memory(160) and a controller(180). The wireless communication unit performs wireless telecommunication with an external device. The display unit displays data. The controller sets a level of the data according to external input. The controller performs a predetermined operation about data belonging to a set predetermined level. The controller sets a level of the data according to touch times, touch time and touch input type.
