A radio frequency identification tag (11) allows embedment of antenna wires (14a, 14b) within a thin plate (12) made of a resin material. The antenna wires (14a, 14b) forms a dipole antenna, for example. Radio wave reflectors (15a, 15b, 15c, 15d) made of metal are also embedded in the thin plate (12) in parallel with the antenna wires (14a, 14b). The radio wave reflectors (15a, 15b, 15c, 15d) reflect radio wave penetrating into the thin plate (12). The reflected radio wave is directed to the antenna wires (14a, 14b). The antenna wires (14a, 14b) receives radio wave of an increased amount. The tag significantly contributes to increase in a communication range. Since the radio wave reflectors (15a, 15b, 15c, 15d) are embedded in the thin plate (12), the tag can be utilized in conventional purposes. The addition of a reflector outside the tag inevitably restrains the application of the tag. |
