An authenticity providing server and a method thereof for authenticating authenticity of a product by using OTP for using OTP are provided to determine whether the product before purchasing product is authenticated by offering an authentication service. A signal receiver(11) receives an authentication number transmitted to an original certification server(10). An authenticity confirmation number generator(12) generates the authentication number by performing an algorithm identical with an OTP electronic tag. A comparison unit(13) compares the generated authorization confirmation number with the authentication number. A signal transmitter(14) transmits the resultant signal compared in the comparison unit to the outside. A database unit(16) stores data about the serial number of the product. The serial number comprises the OTP key, the OTP serial number and a manufacturer number. |
