MAGNETIC DISK APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING MAGNETIC HEAD

A magnetic disc apparatus and a controlling method are provided to lower transient response of a control command by a switch of a control structure through a controller. A magnetic disc apparatus comprises: a driving part moving a magnetic head recording and reproducing the information in a magnetic disc; and a controller controlling the driving part. The controller comprises: a position error feedback control system performing the feed-back control of the driving part through an integrator and a phase-lead compensator(120); and a 2-degree of freedom control system outputting the current command to the driving part through an expression model of the driving part. The controller supplies the output of the integrator to the driving part and renews the expression model by using the output of the phase-lead compensator.
