FIELD: electrical engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, particularly, to portable data storage devices in the form of flash storage element of USB interface provided with retractable connector with cover controlling retraction mechanism. Portable data storage device contains housing with front wall being provided with opening. The printed card is inside the housing. Connector is coupled with printed card, extracted outwards and installed so that it can move together with printed card. Cover is hinge connected with the housing and can displace between the first and second position with regard to the housing. The cover is functionally connected with printed card by means of operating mechanism ensuring printed card displacement together with connector when cover displaces. If cover is in the first position, printed card and connector are hided. On the contrary, when cover is in the second position, printed card and connector are in retractable position. ^ EFFECT: proposed design of device ensures connector protection from accidental damages and easiness of use. ^ 24 cl, 9 dwg |
