<p>The edge guide (4) for adjusting a coating curtain (11) that consists of a web (W) to be coated on impact point in a curtain coating process, comprises a suction slot (5) arranged in the area of its discharge edge. The lower edge of the suction slot forms a lower lip (7). Feed elements for a lubricating liquid are arranged by a connection on intake opening. The feed element controls the lubricating liquid in the area of the lower lip of the suction slot and prevents surface drying of the coating agent on the lower lip of the suction slot. The feed element comprises a lubricant area.
