A tailgate fastener of vehicles is provided to maintain the closed state of tailgate as the tailgate fastener is simply structured. A tailgate fastener of vehicles comprises: a strike(2) installed in a car body and a latch installed in a tailgate and locking the tailgate with the strike. The latch includes: a latch lever(10) rotating according to the movement of the strike; a foul lever(20) operated with the rotating latch lever; a release lever(30) restricting the rotation of the latch lever; a foul lever sensor operated according to the operation of the foul lever; and a release lever driving part(40) operating the release lever.
