<p>A print application (6) is provided on a mobile device (1). The print application (6) is arranged to identify files (7) accessible by the mobile device (1)which contain data defining images or text. Subsequently, when a user selects such a file (7) and provides an identification of a printer (4) to be used,the print application (6) determines whether the identified printer (4) has the capability to print files of the type corresponding to the selected file (7). If this is the case, the selected file (7) is forwarded to the identified printer (4). Otherwise,the selected file (7) is processed to generate data in a format suitable for printing the selected file by the identified printer (4) and this data is transmitted to the identified selected printer (4).</p> |
