<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of forming a high quality image without a change factor caused by excessive pulling or pushing through a transfer material by stably keeping the fixed state of the transfer material carrying torque of a middle transfer belt and a registration roller or the transfer material carrying torque of a fuser roller, regardless of the component accuracy of each product or a temperature change. <P>SOLUTION: To a load torque change caused by pushing or pulling through the transfer material 35 generated by a linear speed difference between two transfer material carrying devices such as the linear speed of the fuser roller 17 and driving rollers 18, 19, a helical gear can be moved in a thrust direction by the thrust direction of the helical gear of a rotation transmitting mechanism 9 generated according to the load torque change.
