<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a barcode generation system that generates an appropriate barcode constituting information, in turn a barcode, which satisfies the usage condition of each user, quickly and with a minimum consumption of ink and paper and that makes it possible to utilize a test pattern having a relatively small area of exclusive use. <P>SOLUTION: The width of a black bar and a white bar for bar codes is measured based on the image of a test chart printed with a specific printer based on the image data of the test chart. Based on the results of the measurement, the dot number of the black bar width and white bar width which should be set at the time of printing is determined as a bar code correction value so that the black bar width and white bar width of the bar code after printing may be a specified magnitude. At this time, the test chart contains only the bar width of some dot numbers (3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 15, and 20 dots). The dot numbers which are not contained in the test chart are determined by estimating the black bar width and white bar width when the bars are printed, based on the results of the measurement. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
