<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively uniformize photographing conditions for every authentication in which identify cannot be guaranteed by a conventional technology, in an operation system without burdening a user. <P>SOLUTION: The authentication device comprises a guide means of a pattern, molding, or the like allowing a user to recall a part to place a finger or to bring it close. In the guide means, a contact point means such as a button switch is provided on a part to place a fingertip, and an optical opening part is provided in a part to place an imaged part for authentication. The authentication device further comprises a light source for irradiating the imaged part with near infrared light; an imaging means for photographing an image formed by the near infrared light transmitted through the imaged part; a starting means for starting authentication when a contact point is connected by the contact point means; and a shielding means for shielding external light intruding into the imaging means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
