PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simulation device which can realistically represent a field of view blurred with rain drops without increasing a processing load so much. SOLUTION: A background image creating unit 320 creates a background image 353 according to an instruction from a drive simulator 110, and a water droplet map update part 330 simulates water drops on the windshield of its own vehicle to create a water droplet map 356.
