<p>Resistin antagonists, including antibodies reactive with defined epitopes, are disclosed. Methods of utilizing resistin antagonists to treat or alleviate the symptoms of the diseases with aberrant fibroblast activity including interstitial lung diseases, hypertrophic scarring, keloid scarring and scleroderma are also disclosed. Antigens useful for raising antibodies against human resistin are also disclosed.</p>
