PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition in which zirconium oxide nano-particles are highly dispersed. SOLUTION: The resin composition has zirconium oxide nano-particles coated with a coating agent (I) of a carboxylic acid having ≥6C hydrocarbon group and a coating agent (II), and a curable resin. One kind of the coating agent (II) in the resin composition is preferably an organometallic compound having a metal atom and a hydrolyzable group bonded with the metal atom. The metal atom of the compound is more preferably bonded with a group having an aromatic ring. It is suitable for the zirconium oxide particle to have a relation; (area of aromatic proton peak)/(total proton peak area)×100≥40 in<SP>1</SP>H-NMR analysis.
