The invention relates to a hole-forming and thread-forming screw (1) for screwing into a metal plate, said screw comprising a head (2) provided with a tool-receiving element, in addition to a threaded shaft (3) and a hole-forming part (4) which tapers off in the form of a cone. Ribs (6, 7) extend in a thread-type manner along the hole-forming part. The hole-forming part ends in a truncated rounded end piece (5), and the rounded ribs which only drive out the material of the metal plate are symmetrically arranged and have a pitch which is equal to a multiple of the pitch of the thread. |
