<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology capable of carrying out NOx purification more favorably on an exhaust emission control device of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control device of the internal combustion engine is furnished with a NOx catalyst 10 and a low pressure EGR passage to connect an exhaust passage 4 on the downstream of the NOx catalyst 10 and an air intake passage 3 of the internal combustion engine 1 to each other, and supply quantity of a reductant is changed in correspondence with the NOx quantity flowing into the NOx catalyst 10 when the NOx quantity flowing into the NOx catalyst 10 is less than first prescribed quantity and NOx quantity occluded in the NOx catalyst is less than second prescribed quantity in flowing exhaust gas in the low pressure EGR passage 31 and supplying the reductant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
