Provided is a radio communication device which transmits a modulated signal which has been modulated by a multicarrier. The radio communication device includes: at least two amplification paths (A1, A2) which can amplify a modulated signal and require different use powers; selection units (15, 16) which select one of the amplification paths (A1, A2); and a control unit (3) which performs control to select one of the amplification paths by the selection units (15, 16) according to the number of subcarriers in the modulated signal and to amplify the modulated signal by the selected amplification path. |
