<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological image input device capable of simultaneously acquiring a clear fingerprint image and blood vessel image by one imaging part, and to provide a personal identification system using it. <P>SOLUTION: This biological image input device has the imaging part making infrared light incident into a finger, and imaging the fingerprint image and the blood vessel image of the finger by use of its scattered light. The biological image input device has a window material wherein a fiber plate and a transparent plate thicker than its thickness are arranged in parallel on a light incident side of the imaging part, images the fingerprint image through the fiber plate side of the window material in a state that a fingerprint of a fingertip part contacts with the fiber plate side of the window material, and images the blood vessel image through the transparent plate side of the window material. Preferably, when setting a refractive index and a thickness of the transparent plate as n and D and setting the thickness of the fiber plate as d, the thickness D of the transparent plate has relation of D>(n/(n-1))*d with the thickness d of the fiber plate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
