<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate an optimum recording power value when information is recorded in a lower recording layer at the same radius position as an upper recording layer in which data is recorded, in an optical disk having a plurality of recording layers. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical disk recording and playback device 1, when information is recorded in a data region of a second recording layer of a DVD 20, a recording power value is calculated by OPC (optimum power control) while suspending intermittent recording, and the recording power value calculated by OPC is corrected in accordance with a reflected light rate calculated in the data region. The corrected recording power value is stored in a storage part 21 as the optimum recording power value. After that, when information is recorded in the second layer of the DVD 20, a microcomputer 19 controls an optical pickup 12 so as to emit a laser beam using the optimum recording power value stored in this storage part 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
