PURPOSE: A method for making fiber for artificial hair is provided to reduce the single-yarn breakage of artificial fiber, make the thickness of the product uniform and increase elongation. CONSTITUTION: A PVC compound chip is formed by mixing polyvinyl chloride with an additive such as anti-additive, stabilizer, antioxidant, antistatic agent and pigment and extruding the same. A filament is formed by filling the PVC compound chip in a spinning machine and spinning the same. The filament is drawn by a drawing machine. The drawn fiber is heated by infrared rays. The fiber heated by infrared rays is cooled by a high temperature water. The cooled fiber is dried by steaming.
