PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve read performance in a disk drive device and a method for writing data in a disk. SOLUTION: An HDD stores data in an address specified by a host, and a plurality of data highly likely to be continuously read as in the case of AV data in a continuous area as a unit. A normal area 111 and a reallocation area 112 exist in a magnetic disk 11. The HDD stores a plurality of data DB_0_0 to DB_0_3 in addresses specified by the host in the normal area 111. The HDD stores a plurality of data DB_0_0 to DB_0_3 as a set CH_0 in continuous address areas in the reallocation area 112. The data are collected in the continuous address areas thereby improving read performance. The data are stored in the addresses specified by the host.
