PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a living body observing device capable of improving visibility in a site where there is a lesion comparing to conventional ones in images formed by polarized light. SOLUTION: The living body observing device is characterized by including an illumination section emitting illumination light for illuminating an object, a light polarizing section for uniforming the polarizing state of the illumination light into a predetermined polarizing state, an imaging section for imaging the object illuminated with the illumination light after passing through the light polarizing section as a first object image having a first polarizing state and a second object image having a second polarizing state different from the first polarizing state respectively and outputting the same as imaging signals, and a color converting section for converting the component of the first object image of the imaging signals as a first color component corresponding to the first color channel in a display section and for converting the component of the second object image of the imaging signals as a second color component corresponding to a second color channel in the display section and different from at least the first color component.
