FLAVOR-ENCHANCED GASTRODIA ELATA EXTRACT AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

A method for manufacturing gastrodia root extract is provided to remove specific off-flavor of gastrodia root, create new flavor, and manufacture flavor-improved gastrodia root extract. A method for manufacturing gastrodia root extract comprises: a step of drying gastrodia root with hot wind or drying after streaming; and a step of roasting dried gastrodia root, extracting with hot water, and concentrating. The extract is concentrated at 10~50Brix and inner pressure during concentration is 1.2~1.6kgf/cm^2. The dried gastrodia root treated by hot wind is roasted at 170~210°C for 3~15minutes. The dried gastrodia root treated by steam and hot wind is roasted at 170~210°C for 3~15minutes. The method comprises an additional step of one or more treatment among ultrasonic treatment, low frequency treatment, electric field treatment, and magnetic field treatment before extracting the roasted gastrodia root with hot water.
