A pharmaceutical composition containing Piper longum extracts and amide-based compounds extracted from the Piper longum is provided to suppress endothelial cell adhesion and penetration by inhibiting ICAM-1(Intercellular adhesion molecule-1) and LFA-1(Leukocyte function associated antigen-1)-mediated cell adhesion. A pharmaceutical composition for treatment of inflammatory diseases comprises Piper longum extracts, which is obtained by water, C1-C4 low alcohol or mixed solvents thereof. The inflammatory diseases indicate diseases caused by rhinovirus or HIV-1(Human immunodeficiency virus). The pharmaceutical composition for treatment of inflammatory diseases contains each compound represented by the formula 1 to 4 or one of compounds represented by the formula 1 to 4.
