PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera capable of recording a large amount of images and also maintaining desired picture quality of images as much as possible. SOLUTION: The camera includes an imaging unit which photographs an image of a subject, an image decision unit which decides an importance of the image acquired by the imaging unit based upon set conditions, an image sorting unit which rearranges images according to importance decided by the image decision unit, an image capacity reduction unit which performs reduction processing on image capacity using a reduction rate corresponding to the order changed by the image sorting unit, and a recording unit which records images having been processed by the image capacity reduction unit.
