<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor possible to set a gap between a bearing and a bearing support member, expecting expansion of an outer ring of the bearing. <P>SOLUTION: This electric motor comprises a motor rotor 18, a motor stator 20 and a bearing 22 fixed to a housing 12 and turnably supporting the motor rotor 18. The bearing 22 is structured of an inner ring 30, an outer ring 32, and a cylindrical roller 34 turnably arranged between the inner ring 30 and the outer ring 32. This motor also comprises a rotor flange 28 coupled to the motor rotor 18 and supporting the outer ring 32 and an outer ring presser 40 for giving a preload to the outer ring 32 by fastening a bolt 42 fastened to the rotor flange 28. A gap is set between the outer ring 32 and the rotor flange 28, expecting expansion of the outer ring 32 with the force for fastening the bolt 42. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
