PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power source device for a trailing vehicle capable of detecting the leakage of electricity from a connecter (connection part) for electrically connecting the trailing vehicle and a trailed vehicle. SOLUTION: The power source device for the trailing vehicle comprising switch circuits SW1-SW6 for supplying electric power from an in-vehicle battery B to electric loads L12-L16 of the trailed vehicle is connected to the electric loads L12-L16 by terminals 21-26. The power source device comprises conduction means 1-6 for making constant currents from the in-vehicle battery B conductive to the electric loads L12-L16 via the terminals 21-26 when the switch circuits SW1-SW6 are turned on, and a detection means 12 for detecting voltages of the terminals 21-26 in a chronological order during the conduction. The device determines whether respective voltage values detected by the detection means 12 are lower than a predetermined voltage value or not. Intervals of determining lower than a predetermined value are time-counted, and the respective time-counted intervals are determined whether they are shorter than a predetermined time or not.
