PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly-simple analysis method having high sensitivity and accuracy, capable of detecting a trace constituent, and dispensing with complicated processing or the like, which is an analysis method of the trace constituent included in a polymer material, such as a compounding agent or a polymerization catalyst in a PBT composition. SOLUTION: The analysis method of the trace constituent in the polymer material includes a step of heating and ashing the polymer material in the presence of oxygen; and a step of irradiating an electron beam to the ashed sample, and performing elemental analysis by a generated characteristic X-ray.
