PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filament winding apparatus equipped with a hoop winding apparatus capable of efficiently performing a hoop winding processing in a short time. SOLUTION: The filament winding apparatus is equipped with a hoop winding apparatus and a helical winding apparatus. The hoop winding apparatus is equipped with a disc-shaped winding and hanging table, a driving mechanism for rotationally driving the winding and hanging table, four bobbins supported along the peripheral edge of the winding and hanging table, and a guide member for transferring and guiding fiber bundles delivered from the bobbins to a mandrel arranged in an inserting hole of the winding and hanging table. The bobbins are freely rotatably pivoted by a chuck of a holder fixed on the winding and hanging table.
