A tape heating unit of a binding apparatus is provided to control accurately location of a heater so that ink bleed of character printed on paper does not occur in a tape fusion process of the paper bundle. A tape heating unit of a binding apparatus includes a heater installed in order to go in a front and a rear direction and a heater driving apparatus for moving the heater. The heater driving apparatus contains a rotatable shaft(82), arms(83a,83b) fixed to the shaft, a heater(127) fixed to end part of the arms, slit grooves(60a,60b) comprised in a supporting plate so that both end parts of the heater are inserted and moved, worm gears(88,89) rotating the shaft and a motor(90) running the worm gear. |
