The present invention relates to a basket system for dishwashers, comprising a number of baskets for supporting wash items for washing operations in the washing chamber of a dishwasher, which washing chamber is accessible through an opening having a lid. The lid is transposable between a closed position and an open position for loading/unloading of the wash items into and out of the baskets. A number of basket frames (1), which can be slid with a guide system (6-9) in the washing chamber inward into a washing position or outward into an unloading or loading position, are fully open in the downward direction. A number of basket inserts (2, 3) of varying structure and dimensions are fitted in the basket frames and can be detachably hung in these. Moreover, said basket inserts are movable between different basket frames or different positions in the respective basket frame and can alternatively be stored outside the dishwasher. |
